Refund & Return Policy

Important: Due to the nature of pharmaceutical products and regulatory requirements, returns are accepted only under specific conditions outlined below.
1. Conditions for Return
Returns are accepted only in the following circumstances:
1.1 Damaged Goods
Products received in damaged condition due to transit or packaging defects. Damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.
1.2 Expired Products
Products found to be expired at the time of delivery or with inadequate shelf life (less than specified minimum). Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
1.3 Wrong Items Supplied
If items received do not match the order (wrong product, wrong strength, wrong pack size). Must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
1.4 Recalled Products
Products subject to manufacturer or regulatory recall. Returns will be processed as per recall notification requirements.
2. Return Window
- Damaged/Wrong Items: 24 hours from delivery
- Expired Products: 48 hours from delivery
- Recalled Products: As per recall notification timeline
3. Return Requirements
All returns must meet the following conditions:
- Original packaging intact and undamaged (except for damaged goods claims)
- All batch numbers and expiry dates clearly visible
- Original invoice copy to accompany the return
- Proper documentation of the issue (photos, batch details)
- Products must not have been stored improperly after delivery
4. Temperature-Sensitive Products
Special conditions apply for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals requiring cold chain maintenance:
- Returns accepted only if cold chain breach occurred before delivery
- Temperature monitoring data must be reviewed
- Once accepted, cold chain products cannot be returned for reasons other than the above
5. Prescription Medicines
Schedule H, H1, and X drugs have strict return protocols:
- Returns accepted only for quality/damage issues, not change of mind
- Complete documentation trail required
- Regulatory requirements for return of controlled substances must be followed
6. Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned:
- Products with broken seals or tampered packaging (unless damage claim)
- Products stored outside recommended conditions
- Short-expiry products that were accepted with knowledge
- Custom or special orders
- Products returned after the specified return window
7. Return Process

- Documentation: Provide invoice number, batch details, photos of the issue
- Approval: Wait for return authorization from our team
- Pickup/Return: We will arrange pickup or provide return instructions
- Verification: Returned goods will be inspected
- Resolution: Credit note or replacement issued after verification
8. Credit and Refunds
- Approved returns will result in a credit note against your account
- Credit can be adjusted against future orders
- Cash refunds are generally not provided; credits are the standard resolution
- Credit notes are valid for 12 months from date of issue
9. Freight Costs
- Defective/Wrong Items: Return freight borne by CHATTERJEE DISTRIBUTORS
- Other Valid Returns: Return freight may be borne by customer based on assessment
10. Disputes
In case of disputes regarding returns, the decision of CHATTERJEE DISTRIBUTORS shall be final. We encourage resolution through direct communication before escalation.
